A Slough councillor has set up a new initiative to ensure 'nobody goes without a gift this Christmas'.
Foxborough Independent Councillor Madhuri Bedi said this is the second year of 'Give and Gift'.
"Last year we did it for children, but because people had Give and Gifts for adults, we put them out and children were taking them - they were trying to hide them from their parents - it was very beautiful," she said.
"This year we have opened it and because of the cost of living crisis, it isn't just for children.
"We are taking donations for any age and anyone who needs it can come and pick up a gift.
"Just to put a smile on everyone's face this Christmas, we want to ensure nobody goes without a gift this Christmas."
Councillor Bedi is working alongside the Pioneer Family Partnership to provide the ‘Give a Gift’ campaign.
The initiative is open to anyone in Slough that needs it, with donation points across Slough.
"We are appealing to Slough businesses, schools and organisations to support our initiative by providing new, or nearly new items that you feel would be perfect for gifting to the community.
Gifts will be given out on Saturday, December 10 at Foxborough Primary School, Common Road, Langley, SL3 8TX.
