A THUG has been jailed for a 'brutal and savage' attack that left a man with a broken jaw, slashed chin, and broken teeth.
Luke Cole, of The Green, in Burnham, admitted leaving his unconscious victim, aged in his twenties, in the road when it happened on February 22, 2020.
The 22 year old launched the unprovoked attack alongside two others, Jordan Collins, 22, of Clonmel Way, Burnham, and Connor Jordan, 21, of Moreton Way, Slough.
Reading Crown Court heard how the trio attacked the victim in the early hours on King Edward Court, Windsor.
The victim, who was punched to the ground, kicked and stamped in the head, was left with extensive facial injuries from the attack, including a fracture to his lower jaw which required surgery and metal plates.
He also received treatment for a deep laceration to his chin, and broken and lost teeth.
Police officers located the victim nearby and arrested Cole on February 24, 2020.
On September 16, Collins was sentenced to five years and three months’ imprisonment and Jordan was sentenced to four years imprisonment in relation to the same incident.
At the same court, Cole pleaded guilty to one count of Section 18 wounding with intent to cause GBH and was sentenced on Friday, October 21.
He was handed three years in prison for the unprovoked attacked that left the victim needing several days of hospital treatment.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Amanda Winterbourne, of Slough CID, said: “This was a brutal and savage attack by three young men who punched the victim to the ground and then kicked and stamped on his head.
“The incident was unprovoked, and the three men left the victim unconscious on the ground.
“The assault had had a profound impact on the victim’s life and he is still affected now.
“We will thoroughly investigate all crimes to bring justice for our victims. Cole, Collins and Jordan will face time in prison to think about their actions.”
