A primary school in Slough has revealed its new headteacher.
Eton End, which is based in Datchet, has confirmed that Rachel Cox has taken over the role with her first day being Thursday, September 1.
The newly appointed head has a degree in Politics with History from Warwick and a Primary PGCE from Reading University respectively, and has 28 years of experience across the maintained and independent sector, which includes time as an advisory teacher with a local authority.
She was elected as a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching in October 2020, and holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and Management as well as Chartered Manager Status awarded by the Chartered Management Institute.
She said: “I am committed to enhancing Eton End further into a forward thinking prep school at the heart of the community, providing all our pupils with the best possible start to their educational journey”.
“Every child can thrive and flourish when the environment around them recognises and values their strengths as well as identifying where they need to go next.”
