A PLAY area in Slough has been described as ‘shocking’ after it is found to have broken equipment, a resident has said.
The man, who wished to remain anonymous, pointed out to the Observer that there are multiple health and safety issues at Upton Court Park.
The areas of concern were the climbing frame, which reportedly has ropes that are missing or torn, and litter scattered everywhere.

The resident also claims that the trampoline is a health and safety hazard explaining it has loose fittings and sharp materials on it.
There was also metal fencing on the floor that the man said was ‘dumped’ in the park.
Since the Observer got in touch with Slough Borough Council, a spokesperson for the council said officers went to the park to put the metal fencing back up again.

The spokesperson said: “We litter pick Upton Court Park five days a week and we would urge residents and visitors to the borough to use the bins provided or to take litter home with them.
“The metal fencing that is currently around the climbing unit is up to prevent people using this equipment whilst it is awaiting repair, but sadly keeps being removed.
“Officers went to the park this morning and put the fence up again, and we would urge people not to remove this fencing as it’s there for safety reasons.
"We are currently waiting for quotes for all repairs.”
