RUMOURS have been floating around at where a new supermarket will be located in Slough.
Aldi confirmed a few weeks ago it was going to be opening a new branch in the town on Farnham Road in spring 2023.
And some people originally thought it could be moving into the recently closed Sainsbury’s store.

But Aldi has now confirmed with the Slough Observer it will move into where the Pets at Home currently is.
And the popular pet chain is moving to the old Staples unit, according to the planning application.

A spokesperson on behalf of Aldi: “Aldi is excited to have secured planning permission within an established retail location and look forward to delivering its award winning high-quality, low-cost produce for residents in Slough.
“Not only will the new store bring increased food choice and jobs to the local area, the application will enable vital highways improvements to be made at the junction of Farnham Road and Edinburgh Avenue, and will facilitate Pets at Home’s relocation to an adjacent unit.”
