A PRIMARY school in Slough held a special event for its latest project in supporting children moving from primary to secondary.
The Langley Heritage Primary School, part of the Arbib Education Trust, has been working in partnership with Aik Saath on a project to support children in their transition from childhood to adulthood.
The HIVE was created at the school itself and one student said: “The HIVE has really improved my confidence and has made me use my voice.”
Another added: “The HIVE is like a 3rd family to me, the HIVE is one big community.
And one child explained: “A loving community and somewhere to get to know your friends better.”
Rob, director of Aik Saath, said: “Here we have found a way of carrying our children across the transition from childhood to adulthood, primary to secondary, this is something both unique and special and the first school to do this.”
The school said Mr Dhesi expressed his “delight” at how this project has impacted the young people’s lives.
