A MOTHER has thanked people for their support as her teenage daughter was said to be "suffering immensely" with health issues.

Aminah King Ahead, of Slough, sent out a plea for help as she described her daughter Noura was suffering with her health.

Aminah set up a GoFundMe page to raise £3,000 to support Noura with the treatment she needs.

She explained Noura’s condition was “so severe” she can’t attend sixth form.

But on May 29 Aminah sent an update to say they had reached the £3,000 fundraising target.

She said: “We have hit our target, thank you kindly for all those that donated to help Noura.
“We have the investigation appointment on the 8th June, Noura will be in a terrible state for the next week as she has to stop some of her medications in preparation for the procedures.”

She added once she has received the diagnosis she will inform everyone.

“From there depending on results we can either go back to the NHS for treatment or carry on with the private route, that decision will be made based on the outcome of the investigation,” she said.

“Once again thank you so much and bless you all.”

Aminahs’ original plea on GoFundMe said: “She is experiencing frequent disturbances with her bowels, this is usually accompanied by tremendous pains and aches in her stomach, and her lower abdomen tends to swell significantly.

“My daughter has been suffering quite immensely with her health on a day to day basis to a point where she’s struggling to complete or maintain just basic requirements, she hasn’t even the ability to attend 6th form or leave the house as her condition is so severe.

“She is experiencing frequent disturbances with her bowels, this is usually accompanied by tremendous pains and aches in her stomach, and her lower abdomen has a tendency to swell significantly.”

Aminah wrote her daughter is experiencing nausea and vomiting along with multiple other disorders including Coeliac disease and Reynard’s phenomena.

She said: “My daughter is tremendously weak and fatigued, she is so limited that she is required to wear a brace across her back just to support her.

“I can’t take seeing this day to day, I will be carrying my daughter as a pile of bones to her next gastroenterology appointment that’s not due until the 27th June, even then still she will have to wait further for the test to be organised, then comes the waiting list.

“I’ve begged and pleaded with the gastro unit to expedite her appointment even getting supporting letters from her GP and paediatrician but still no success. 

“Her health is so bad she had open access to the children’s ward but they can only make her feel comfortable with pain medication.”

“I’m literally watching my daughter wither away, she is drastically underweight.”
