THE latest hygiene ratings have been dished out to restaurants and eateries across Berkshire.

Officers from the Food Standards Agency regularly inspect premises which sell or serve food, rating their food hygiene standards, management and structural compliance.

They also give businesses and organisations a rating out of five, with ‘zero’ meaning urgent improvement is necessary, and with ‘five’ being the ‘very good’ top mark.

Here are some of the recent five-star ratings in Reading:

Two Reading eateries were awarded four-out-of-five star ratings, the Wednesday Lunch Club, at St Michaels Church, and My Warsaw takeaway, on Kings Street.

They both had inspections on May 4, 2022.

Sizzling Spice, on Christchurch Road, Reading, recently received a one-star hygiene rating after its inspection on April 5, 2022.

It received the following report:

In Bracknell Forest, The Wellington Arms, on 203 Yorktown Road, Sandhurst, was given a one-star rating after its inspection on May 3, 2022.

It now means that of Bracknell Forest's 68 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 53 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

And Queen’s Kitchen, on Market Street, was recently awarded a two-star rating following its inspection on April 28, 2022.

In Windsor, Mr Leung’s Chinese Takeaway, on 120 Wessex Way, Maidenhead, was handed a four-out-of-five food hygiene rating following its assessment on May 11.

It means that of Windsor and Maidenhead's 95 takeaways with ratings, 71 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
