A SPITFIRE plane is set to mark those who have died fighting at war for the first of this year’s Battle of Britain memorial flights.
A Lancaster, Spitfires and Hurricanes will tour the skies over the Maidenhead this weekend on Sunday, May 14.
The flight operates six Spitfires, two Hurricanes, a Lancaster, a C47 Dakota and two Chipmunks, which are largely used for training purposes.
They are flown by regular RAF aircrew.
The Battle of Britain flypast was inaugurated in July 1957 and has been a fixture in Britain’s skies ever since.
You can see the flypast in Cox Green, Maidenhead between 3.05pm to 3.50pm.
