AN ARTS and crafts shop is “exploring a vacant unit” in Maidenhead following recent rumours.
Hobbcraft has announced it is looking into moving into Maidenhead Retail Park, on Stafferton Way, but can’t confirm any more details at present.
Councillor Gurch Singh tweeted in March he believed the store would be moving into the former Maplin unit.

He confirmed the planning application has been submitted in order to allow Hobbycraft put up new signs to advertise the new store, made and installed by Sapphire Creative Signmaking.
And in his original tweet he said the craft shop was to open in time for Easter.

A spokesperson for Hobbycraft said: “We can confirm that we’re exploring a vacant unit at the Maidenhead Retail Park on Stafferton Way.
“At this moment in time, we’re unable to confirm finer details but will be sure to update local media when we’re in the position to do so.”
