THE BEATLES, Stevie Wonder and The Rolling Stones are all among the stars who entertained the crowds in Slough back in the day.
The Adelphi Theatre, which was situated on Bath Road, closed on January 21, 1973.
It seated for 1,398 audience members in the stalls and 644 people in the balcony.

We asked our Slough Observer readers what famous faces they had seen perform in concert at the theatre.
The most popular suggestion was the English rock band, The Beatles.
James Quinn said he watched Helen Shapiro, Joe Brown and The Swinging Blue Jeans up on stage.
Christine Ayres also shared her dad’s memory explain: “My dad saw Roy Orbison there in the 1960’s.
“His microphone broke but he continued the concert and was heard by all even without a microphone, great singer he was.”

Philip Chant added he saw The London Philharmonic playing Symphony No.6, by Tchaikovsky, and The Beatles.
Billy Fury, Jimmy Hendrix, Walker Brothers, The Who and The Herd were also part of the celebs who stepped up to the mic at the Adelphi.
