WITH the Slough local election just a couple of weeks away, we asked the political parties to send photos and brief introductions of their candidates vying for your vote.
This will be the last election where a third of councillors are elected each year as the council will swap to ‘all out’ elections every four years from next year.
This includes changes to the internal ward boundaries where 21 new wards, which are subject to change, are proposed. Slough currently has 15.

Initially, the Labour-run council was eyeing to cancel this year’s election, but this request was denied by the government.
All current wards, with the exception of Foxborough, have candidates standing for the May 5 election.
Without further ado, here are the candidates vying for your vote.
The Green Party was contacted for information but has not acknowledged our messages at the time of writing.
