CELEBRATIONS were in order as a gift shop in Windsor celebrated its first birthday.
Craft Coop Windsor, which opened its doors in April 2021, in Windsor Yards, hosted a day of activities for the community on April 10 to mark the special day.
With the support of other local businesses, the shop raised more than £500 on the day.

Heidi Berry, manager of Craft Coop Windsor, said: “We wanted to celebrate and say thank you to our local community which has been so supportive over the last year – including the ‘Coopers’ as we call ourselves, other local businesses, councillors, RBWM and our growing loyal customer base, who we really appreciate.
“As a Community Interest Company, community is central to everything we do, and over the last year we have managed to support various local charities, notably Windsor Homeless Project and the Baby Bank, plus more recently we have raised nearly £3,000 for the Ukraine DEC.
“We’ve learned through the isolation that many felt in lockdown that people are keen to socialise again safely and learn new skills.
“With that in mind, we have set up a range of workshops for people to try out new crafts and meet likeminded folk – and many of the Coopers were on hand on Sunday to demonstrate those crafts.”
Ms Berry added the shop put on a range of children’s crafts to encourage expression and budding new artists.
Face painting, glitter tattoos and henna-art was also provided on the day.
Live music from local open mic musicians and the choir from Wexham Court Primary School entertained the crowds.
