A NEW Indian restaurant has opened its doors to customers in Burnham.
La Indika welcomed residents to its grand opening on Saturday, April 2 for complimentary canapes to celebrate the launch.
And the new restaurant, on Burnham High Street, previously the Akash Tandoori, was even joined by special guest Hollyoaks star Will Mellor.

Owner Rohel Miah said opening weekend went very well.
He said: “We did the free canapes for customers, lots of people turned up and it was good having Will Mellor there for the opening as well.
“The feedback so far has been very positive, people wanted to change, and I’ve completely rebranded the restaurant where we do more authentic dishes with a twist.”
Chefs Deelip Sindh and Pratap Sindh Bisht trained and held the position of head chef at the world-renowned Taj Group, India, and UK Michelin Starred Indian restaurants.
Mr Miah added: “La Indika was 100 per cent needed her on Burnham High Street.
“The Burnham people deserve a new proper Indian restaurant in this area so they’re not having to travelling to other towns such as Beaconsfield.”
Some dishes include Monkfish Tikka, Lamb Chattinad, Murgh Nilgri, Murgh Razzala, Sabzi Jalfrezi and more.
It also offers all the traditional Indian curries such as Korma, Dansak, Bhuna, Karahi, Jalfrezi and Madras.

Mr Miah explained: “We still have all the British favourites on the menu and at the weekend people mainly tried out taster menu but our monkfish has already been popular.
"A big thanks to you all who turned up at the open day."
To celebrate the opening, La Indika also offering customers 20 per cent off for dine in and takeaway throughout April.
The restaurant opening hours are 4.30pm to 10.30pm from Monday to Sunday.
