FAULTY traffic lights that have been out for two weeks almost caused a “nasty collision” and won’t be fixed for another two weeks.
The lights on Uxbridge Road, at the Rochford Gardens junction, in Slough, haven't been working for around two weeks.
Steve Salt, a nearby resident, said the lights being out is causing many problems and is just an "accident waiting to happen".
Uxbridge Road currently has a 40 mph speed limit.
He said: “Many cars do not adhere to this speed limit especially now the lights are out.
“You would think that this would slow most drivers down but by just standing there for five minutes you can see the danger this promotes.
“There are cars coming from all directions and it's a really dangerous issue."

A spokeperson from Slough Borough Council said the lights won't be fixed until on or around March 29, just under two weeks away.
They said: “Unfortunately it is not an issue with the lights themselves, but with the power supply to them.
"We are waiting for the power company to fix the power issues which is affecting this junction.
"We understand the wait is not ideal and we thank residents for their patience.”
Responding to this, Mr Salt said: “That’s just terrible, that’s bad.
“There’s not even any signs up to tell you that the traffic lights are out, so drivers that are coming round the bend from the Iver direction have no warning.”
Mr Salt added the issue is made worse when the sun’s out because the reflection on the lights make them look like they are working.

“The sun makes it seem like the green light is working which just causing more problems because people think they can go,” he said.
“With three schools around the area, it’s just awful when its school run times because it’s so busy, I’ve seen a few near misses and almost a nasty collision happen.”
