ONE person was taken to hospital for serious injuries following a crash on the M4 earlier today (March 14).
Lanes on Junctions 8 and 9 Westbound near Maidenhead were closed in response to the incident, which occurred at around 9 am this morning.
A report from AA Live traffic claimed the incident involved a van and a car, and one of the vehicles was set on fire.

A spokesperson for the South Central Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 09:16 to the M4 to an incident involving one vehicle.
“We sent to the scene a paramedic team leader, ambulance crew and critical care car from the Thames Valley Air Ambulance who were assessing and treating one patient for serious injuries.

“Following treatment at the scene by all our crews the patient was taken to Wexham Park Hospital.”
Thames Valley Police would not comment on the incident other than to say lanes on Junctions 8 and 9 had reopened.
