Mr Sinclair has put collection boxes outside Karellies Café, The Wraysbury Hub, The Village Hall and various other points around the village.
He said: “History is repeating itself, so to speak.
"This is such an awful situation, having seen it first-hand before that is why I'm so passionate about wanting to help again now.
“I have some knowledge on this type of problem, having been in the thick of things when Poland was in trouble.”
Mr Sinclair previously set up a Polish Aid Group in the village in 1982 and ended up driving a 10 ton truck loads of aid to Warsaw and Crakow.
With the support of Windsor Lions and Slough Lions, they managed to deliver to care homes, schools and many othe community groups and individuals in Poland.
