A statement from a letter sent to customers said: "Closing branches is always a difficult decision and not one that we ever take lightly. So I wanted to try to explain why we've had to do this. The simple reason is that the way people bank has changed.
"The shift towards digital means millions of our customers now manager their money online. With fewer people going into branch, we've had to make some really tough decisions.
"Which is unfortunately why we'll be closing our Windsor and Eton branch on 7 July 2022.
The bank has "promised" that customers will still be able to speak to members of the NatWest team either on the phone or at a nearby branch.
The closest NatWest branch is now located in Slough.
