A MAN has unleashed his fury on an ‘unhygienic’ leisure centre after claiming dirt, grime, and scum have been left uncleaned for months.
A user of The Centre on Farnham Road, Slough, who wished to remain anonymous, contacted the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) about the site’s hygiene.
The man, who has been a member for two years, described parts of the leisure centre’s floors stained with “black dirt”, steam room and shower cubicle floors and walls “not scrubbed properly”, and scum and grease reportedly found on the pool area handrails.

Pictures sent to the LDRS also show human waste on some of the toilet seats and brushes within the men’s bathroom.
The member said: “The manager is doing nothing about it. I’ve just had enough and it’s abysmal. It should be spick and span.”
According to the man, the state of hygiene at the centre has been like that for ‘many months’.

He said himself and other users have contacted the centre’s manager about the mess, who apologised and pledged to clean the areas of concern.
A premier membership for one adult cost £50 a month whereas a normal membership can cost £30 a month.
Everyone Active contract manager Luke Routhorn for the centre, said: “At Everyone Active, we take pride in our centres and in particular the cleanliness of our sites.
“We follow a strict cleaning regime which consists of daily cleaning, where key areas of the centre including the showers, steam room and changing rooms are cleaned to a high standard, alongside regular deep cleans.
“We have a full-time cleaner who manages the cleaning processes, alongside our lifeguards and duty manager who are also responsible for ensuring the centre is kept both clean and tidy.
“We always strive to ensure our customers feel safe and welcome in our leisure centres, and that they enjoy the experience. We apologise if expectations in relation to the cleanliness of our centre have not been met on this occasion.
“Rest assured, we will continue to prioritise the cleanliness of the site and look to immediately address any concerns that have been raised.”
