A RALLYING cry has come from a local trampoline club calling on the community to help fund much-needed repairs to kit.
A fundraising appeal has been launched by a parent linked to The Phoenix Trampoline Club, Slough, in a bid to support the not-for-profit community group.
The club founded in 2014, was originally part of the Phoenix Gymnastics Club until it was forced to close its doors in June this year.
Following the closure, head of trampolining Jane Cosgrove took on the troupe as her own and now runs it as a not-for-profit organisation.
The group, which runs classes at East Berkshire College in Langley, solely relies on funding and hopes to raise money for trampoline repairs and future replacement.

Last month, popular supermarket Asda, in Slough, donated £1,000 to the squad as part of it's Bringing the Communities Back Together campaign.
Mrs Cosgrove said she was “in shock” when she received the donation.
“I had to re-read the email a few times at first, but we are truly grateful to Asda for the generous contribution,” she said.
“We haven’t spent the money yet, but we hope to put it towards servicing our current trampoline which is in need of some new springs and chains.”
During covid lockdowns, the club turned to training via online platform Zoom.
And now the students are just a few weeks away from their first competition since the start of the pandemic.
Katie Sherwin, a parent of a child who attends classes, set up a Crowdfunder page to give Mrs Cosgrove a helping hand.
With a £8,520 target, Mrs Sherwin is hoping the money raised will go towards upgraded equipment.
Mrs Sherwin said: “Jane kept the children motivated throughout lockdowns with online conditioning classes and has worked hard to make sure that the club can continue.
“I know how much the children get out of their classes and so fundraising seemed like a good idea to help get a new trampoline for the club.”
Mrs Cosgrove expressed her thanks to Mrs Sherwin for her initiative.
“The amount of support we have had from both parents at the club and beyond has been absolutely incredible,” she said.
“For people to put their hands in their pockets is amazing and without their support we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
Mrs Cosgrove added her goal over the next few years is for the group to have its own premises.
She explained: “We really want to grow as a club, and we’d love to eventually have four trampolines in total so we can expand our classes.
“Having our own place would mean we won’t be restricted on times we can train so that we can run more classes in the day.”
Mrs Cosgrove is hoping the community can help by donating and sharing the fundraising campaign.
She said: “If there are any businesses out there who would be able to make a generous donation, we would be eternally grateful.”
