A SLOUGH woman has been spared a prison sentence or a community order after stealing £4,000 worth of clothes in London.
Martina Doran, of Buttermere Avenue, stole items from the Pepa & Co children’s clothing boutique in Westminster.
The 18-year-old was caught shoplifting on October 9, 2021, when she was 17.
In total, she stole £3,915 of clothes during her shoplifting spree at the store, which sells upmarket ‘traditional’ children’s garments.

According to their website, a boy’s outfit with a knitted cardigan, blue shirt, tartan shorts with braces, socks and shoes costs £225.

The woman pleaded guilty to theft at Central London Magistrates’ Court on October 26.

Appearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on November 23, 2021, Doran was handed a 12-month conditional discharge despite the huge haul.

She left court with just an obligation to pay £85 in court costs and £17 in a victim surcharge.
