A MAIDENHEAD woman has been spared jail after using a walking stick as an offensive weapon.
Kayleigh Powis, of Connaught Close, was sentenced for three offences at Slough Magistrates’ Court last month.
For the first offence, she admitted to assaulting a man in Maidenhead on December 18, 2020.
The 35-year-old also admitted to two counts of possession of an offensive weapon on the same day in the same location.

She was caught using a baseball bat and a walking stick as offensive weapons on December 18, 2020.
Powis was handed an eight week suspended prison sentence suspended for 18 months as the offence was a “nasty incident”, a court file read.
As part of her sentence, she was placed under a ten week curfew at her house, meaning she has to be at home between 7.30pm and 6am every day of the week.

She was also told the take part in up to eight rehabilitation activity days and pay £213 in court fees.
The walking stick and the baseball bat were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed by police as they were “linked with crime.”
Powis appeared in court on Thursday, October 28.
