The manager of a controversial shisha bar in Denham has been fined thousands of pounds over illegal activities going on at his venue.
Gaurav Soin is the manager of Soin Lounge, in Oxford Road, which became mired in controversy in November last year when a council meeting heard how “sexual indecency”, “violence”, “intimidation” was taking place on the premises.
After criminal charges were brought against him, Soin has been ordered to pay more than £5,000 in fines and court costs after he pleaded guilty to a number of offences.

Soin admitted to selling alcohol at the venue against the terms of his licence on October 16, 2020 and October 31, 2020.
He also pleaded guilty to two charges of failing to stop people from smoking at a smoke-free premises on October 14.
Soin, of Northumberland Walk, Iver, was ordered to pay £3,690 costs and £2,160 in fines following a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on October 14.
Soin Lounge came under fire last year when a Bucks Council licencing sub-committee heard how ongoing noise and reckless road use from patrons was making their lives miserable.
Formerly the Dog and Duck pub, Maya, Turpins and Tiger Pub, the premises became Soin Lounge in August 2020.
At the meeting, resident spokesperson Kristian Johnson said: “We’ve had issues since day one. Loud noise… sexual indecency… fighting… wolf-whistling and harassment… our fence used as a toilet… the constant smell of shisha… drug paraphernalia… intimidation.

“I approached one car and saw those inside performing a sexual act. I told the bouncer and police.
“I’m scared for my daughter growing up in this area.”
Following the meeting, Soin Lounge had its licence to sell alcohol revoked.
Former licence holder Moyn Uddin, aged 50, of Elm Lawn Close, in Uxbridge also pleaded guilty to selling alcohol at the venue against the terms of a licence on October 16, 2020 and October 31, 2020.
Uddin was fined £1,296 and ordered to pay £1,130 costs at a hearing at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on June 23 this year.
The council has previously held administrative hearings over Soin Lounge, which are separate to the criminal proceedings for which Soin and Uddin have now been convicted of.
Bucks Council has been approached for comment.
