DEMAND for fuel has brought petrol stations to their knees across the country this week -and Slough is no exception.
Over the last couple of days, drivers have been queuing in petrol stations across Slough in the hope of filling up their tanks.
Pictures from the filling station at the Tesco in Slough showed drivers queueing up around the block to buy fuel, with some even bringing jerry cans to keep in reserve.
But the government has urged motorists not to panic buy fuel as a shortage of lorry drivers means garages are not receiving as much fuel as usual.

Earlier in the week, South Central Ambulance had to issue a plea to drivers not to fill their tanks unless they really needed fuel after ambulance drivers were also forced to join the queues.
Here is a list of your local petrol stations that are open for 24 hours to help you avoid the queues and get through this fuel crisis.
