Council "disappointed" over businessman's sentence after illegal tobacco was seized TWICE
Slough Council say they are “disappointed” with the sentence of a business owner after an investigation found counterfeit tobacco on his premises twice in five months.
Trading standards and sniffer dogs found 1,574 illegal tobacco products at Hamza Pan Centre in Park Street on October 22, 2019.
Business owner Humza Shahid, of Hambrough Road, Southall, was interviewed about the find after the council’s trading standards team was tipped off that more were still being sold.

Driver crashes after avoiding Slough police and pretends to be passenger
A man has admitted to dangerous driving in court after speeding away from the police in Slough, only to crash and then pretend that he was a passenger.
At around 1.10 am on May 14, Hassan Khan, aged 22, from Leeds Road, Slough, was driving a white BMW on Stoke Poges Lane, Slough. As officers turned to follow the car he sped away, turning into Baylis Road where he crashed into a fence and a parked car.
BMW driver fined £1,500 for driving at 60mph on M4
A BMW driver has been fined more than £1,500 for driving at 60mph on the motorway.
Daniel Crawford, 36, has been ordered to pay £1,615 in fines and a further £252 in costs by Wycombe Magistrates' Court after he was recorded driving at 66mph and 64mph on the M4.
A new Karak Chaii cafe is coming to town and will replace an estate agents
A franchised cafe offering ‘desi style street food’ is coming to Slough after officers approve plans.
Developers were given the go-ahead to convert the Chiltern Hills estate agency, which is on 241 Farnham Road, into a Karak Chaii.
The café, which has stores in Birmingham and is expanding nationally, offers urban desi style street foods as well as fresh coffee, tea, all-day breakfast, cake, and biscuits all around the world.
