DRINK-DRIVING, driving under the influence of drugs, dangerous driving…
These are just some of the offences that have landed Berkshire drivers with huge driving bans -- one motorist will not be able to drive again until 2028!
Here are some other drivers from the royal county who have been banned from getting behind the wheel after appearing in court earlier this year.
Neil Ayres, of Silver Hill, Sandhurst, admitted drink driving on Silver Hill, Sandhurst, on August 5, 2020.

The 59-year-old was caught with 68 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 35mcg per 100ml.
He was banned from holding a driving licence for seven years following this incident.
He also admitted to driving whilst disqualified and resisting a police constable in the execution of their duty.
He was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison due to the severity of the offences.

Danut Ilioiu, of Orchard Close, Newbury, admitted to drink driving on Hambridge Lane, Newbury, on December 7, 2020.
He was caught with 137 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath, the limit being 35 mcg per 100ml.
He was banned from driving for three-and-a-half years following this incident and was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work, made to pay a £95 victim surcharge and ordered to pay costs of £85.
Rebecca Doherty, of Duke’s Ride, Crowthorne, was handed a 25 month driving ban after driving a Peugeot 206 dangerously on London Road in Bracknell on July 7 2020.

The 39-year-old was sentenced to 12 weeks in jail after also being convicted of driving without insurance and without a licence.
She appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on May 12, 2021.
Sean Randell, of Blackdown Way, Thatcham, was told he would not be able to drive for 46 months (three years and ten months) after he exceeded the drink drive limit.
The 36-year-old was caught with 54 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Crookham Hill, Thatcham on May 22, 2021, the limit being 35mcg per 100ml.
After also being convicted of driving without a licence or insurance, the Thatcham man appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court for his sentence on June 15, 2021.

Harkamaljit Mann, of Norreys Avenue, Wokingham, was banned from driving for 30 months (two years and six months) after breaching the drink drive limit on the M25 in Egham on May 30, 2019.
Court results do not indicate how much alcohol the 35-year-old had consumed, however.
He was also convicted of driving a Mini Cooper dangerously on the same road and on the same date.
Appearing at Staines Magistrates’ Court on March 24, 2021, Mann was also made to pay £742 in court costs.
Fellow Wokingham resident, Ajit Panesar, of Clifton Road, was given a three-year ban from driving after being caught behind the wheel under the influence of cannabis on Reading Road on July 7, 2020.
The 39-year-old was committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 18 months.

He was also made to pay £428 in court costs after appearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court for his sentence on June 16, 2021.
Nicola Brooks, of Flyingdales, Thatcham, West Berkshire, was given a five-year driving ban after being caught drink driving on Coombe Court, West Berks on December 13, 2020.
The 45-year-old was caught with 168 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the limit being 35mcg per 100ml.
This means she was almost five times over the legal limit.
She was committed to prison for 20 weeks suspended for 24 months at Reading Magistrates’ Court on June 8, 2021, where she was also told to pay £213 in court costs.
Tony Rusher, of Eversley Road, Arborfield Cross, Reading, will not be allowed to drive for three years after driving under the influence of ketamine on the M3 on November 7, 2020.

He was handed a six-week prison sentence suspended for two years at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on May 4, 2021.
Iqrar Iqbal, of Stoke Poges Lane, Slough, was caught driving under the influence of cocaine on Burnham Lane in Slough on July 16, 2020.
For this, he was banned from driving for three years.
He was sentenced to prison for 20 weeks suspended for 24 months at Slough Magistrates’ Court on March 18, 2021.
Kirkpatrick Virgo, of Frimley Drive, Slough, was convicted of driving without a licence, without insurance, and failing to stop for a breath test in Woodley on November 29, 2020.
The 40-year-old was banned from driving for three years following the convictions.
He was also handed a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months at Slough Magistrates’ Court on February 19, 2021.
