A MAN caught driving under the influence of cocaine has been fined more than 20 months after committing his offence.
Zeno Zenonos, of Uxbridge Road, Wexham, appeared ‘anxious’ and his eyes were ‘glazed over’ when he was stopped by police on Dedworth Road in Windsor on the morning of December 5, 2019.
A drug-wipe carried out at the time gave a positive indication for cocaine and the 38-year-old was arrested.

However, Zenonos was only charged via postal requisition five months later in May 2020.
He would have to wait even longer for his sentencing at Reading Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded guilty to one count of driving a vehicle under the influence of drugs on Thursday, August 5.
Here, he was fined £540 and banned from driving for 12 months.

Investigating officer, PC Luke Jenkins, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “Zenonos was stopped and tested positive for cocaine.
“He was shown, through evidential testing, to be over the limit and has now been disqualified for holding or obtaining a license for 12 months.
“This is time enough for him to consider his actions and the risk that he posed to other road users on that day.”
