Slough is set for sweltering weather this weekend, with temperatures expected to be higher in our area than some of the sunniest spots in Europe.
The mercury is predicted to hit 27 degrees on Saturday.
This is eight degrees hotter than the average for the UK in June.
By comparison, the temperature is predicted to be one degree cooler in the Greek capital of Athens and Tenerife and two degrees warmer than the German capital of Berlin.
The sun is expected to continue to shine into next week, with full sunshine predicted on Sunday through to Thursday.
The Met Office is not predicted the temperature to drop below 26 until next Friday when the forecasters are predicting 24 degrees.
