A SHOCKING review of Slough has been posted on the satirical website 'iLiveHere'.
The scathing reviews describe the town as "common" and "unfit for a dog to live in”, but we couldn't feel it is further from the truth.
Slough in general has been described as one of the worst places to live, with one person writing: "If the Earth ever requires an enema, Slough is undoubtedly where the tube will be inserted. Slough also happens to be the s**** capital of the UK, maybe even the world. Coincidence?"

The user rudely added that several estates including Britwell, Manor Park and Northboroughis has houses that "are generally unfit for a dog to live in."
They were equally unimpressed by these areas, continuing: "The only thing in the house worth any money will always be (WITHOUT EXCEPTION EVER!) the largest, latest PLASMA TV. It will be the focal point of the house and is their altar to the Goddess that is Trisha every single morning."

Well, we certainly do not agree with any of the shameful reviews of our city.
Slough is one of the most family-friendly places to live based on having the most outstanding schools, eating out and for young families.
It also has the most family-friendly restaurants in Berkshire, according to parenting website Play Like Mum.
The area is bursting with creativity and diversity and as a result has produced a long history of interesting moments or inventions.
It is the birth place of the wheelie bin and the zebra crossing, as well as being home to the pioneering astronomer Caroline Herschel in 1786 - she discovered eight comets and was the first woman to be paid for contributing to science.
