Plans have been lodged to convert former offices in Maidenhead into flats in order to create almost 30 new apartments.

Developers hope to convert the buildings at Tectonic Place on Holyport Road, Maidenhead, into 28 new flats.

The site is located close to Holyport village centre.

The developers have ensured that 'all flats will have access to natural light due to the arrangement of the flats and the extensive amount of existing fenestration that benefits the building'.

Included in the plans are proposals to build access to the new site via Hendons Way.

One local resident has criticised these proposals for the potential impact upon the traffic in the area.

Sally Halfacre said: "There should be no access via Hendons Way. Access should be retained via the current access point on the Holyport Road only.

"Hendons Way enters the very busy Stompits Road which also has a lot of on street parking from the parade of shops and primary school pick ups/drop offs so extra traffic movements from this development would be undesirable."

Planning officers will now decide whether to grant the planning application permission.
