Slough has been named as one of the best towns in the UK for adopting green transport.
Data from the DVLA was gathered by Fleetcover, who calculated the areas in the country that boasted the highest percentage of electric or hybrid vehicles.
Slough has been named as the 9th best town in the UK, with just under 10 per cent of vehicles being environmentally friendly.
The top 10 in full are:
1. City of London (14.05%)
2. Portsmouth, Hampshire (11.85%)
3. Westminster, London (11.71%)
4. Tower Hamlets, London (11.71%)
5. Watford, Hertfordshire (11.65%)
6. Hammersmith and Fulham, London (10.52%)
7. Stockport, Greater Manchester (10.48%)
8. Camden, London (9.94%)
9. Slough, Berkshire (9.92%)
10. Peterborough, Cambridgeshire (9.77%)
Conversely, the bottom 10 are:
1. Mid Ulster, Northern Ireland (0.74%)
2. Blaenau Gwent, Wales (0.79%)
3. Fermanagh and Omagh, Northern Ireland (0.83%)
4. Merthyr Tydfil, Wales (0.84%)
5. Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Scotland (0.86%)
6. Causeway Coast and Glens, Northern Ireland (0.91%)
7. Newry, Mourne and Down, Northern Ireland (1.02%)
