A SLOUGH man has been told to pay almost £1,000 after failing to wear a face mask on public transport.
Drilon Xhebexhia, of Buckingham Gardens, Slough, was fined £660 for not wearing the face-covering on a service ‘provided by Transport for London’ in November 2020.

The 26-year-old was also told to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and costs of £225.
Altogether, his bill came to £951.
Xhebexhia learned his fate following a hearing at Lavender Hill Magistrates Court on April 1, 2021.

Fines can be issued to people who do not wear face masks following the introduction of health protection regulations related to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
