With schools still learning remotely, many parents will be continuing to juggle home, work and childcare or home learning on a daily basis.
That’s why many will want to ensure that when their children return or join a new school, it has outstanding results to ensure the best education.
And latest data shows Slough has been ranked as one of the most family-friendly places to live and the best places for outstanding schools, eating out and for young families.
New research from Play Like Mum has looked at a variety of factors to discover the most family-friendly towns and cities.
Slough has beaten towns such as York for having the most 'outstanding schools' and for places to eat out.
Data from the parenting website shows 35 per cent of schools in Slough are outstanding by Ofsted, the highest award given when inspections are carried out.
This ranks the town as the best in the country with the best access to outstanding schools.
The website also places the Berkshire town top for family-friendly restaurants with 359.19 child-friendly restaurants per 100,000 people.
The data was rounded by looking at the number of restaurants tagged as being ‘Child-Friendly’ according to TripAdvisor.
The area is also a great place to live in for young families, with 78.40 per cent of households with dependent children.
Play Like Mum's website said: "If you’re looking for the perfect place to settle down with your family, factors such as a quality school, things to do, especially outdoors, and a low crime rate are important factors to take into account when finding a place to settle into your forever home.
"We’ve ranked the 40 most populated towns and cities in the country on twelve family-friendly factors to reveal the best places to settle down and raise a family."
York ranked highest overall for being the most family-friendly town.
