Slough's Ahmadiyya Muslim Community marked World Homeless Day on Saturday by serving hot meals and distributing face masks to the homeless community in the town
The monthly soup kitchen run with Slough Outreach sees non-perishable food items and hot meals to over 100 people per session.
President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Slough, Atiq-Ahmad Bhatti said: “Since March of this year, we have been donating non-perishable food items to a range of local charities in Slough alongside the distribution of especially sewn face masks which have been distributed to local care homes and to members of the public.

"As we fast approach the winter months, we have stepped up our efforts more so to assist and support as many vulnerable members of society as possible.”
*The day before the food distribution Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Slough marked World Mental Health Day by holding a special interactive forum on Zoom. Members of surrounding Ahmadiyya branches joined in.

President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Slough, Atiq-Ahmad Bhatti said: “The coronavirus pandemic has left so many feeling confused, alone, and difficult financial and social circumstances.
"Our commitment is to help as much as we can to help alleviate their worries and anxieties and this forum was just one small way of reaching out to the community and giving out the message that we are here to help, support and comfort them during this unprecedented times.”
