A man has been charged following an attack in Slough's Chalvey Road East at around 8.45pm Monday evening which has left the victim in hospital in a critical condition.
Sabir Mann, 38 of Hurworth Avenue, Slough was charged on Wednesday with one count of Section 20 GBH wounding without intent.
The victim who in his 40s allegedly suffered serious injuries after being hit on the head.

A police cordon kept Chalvey Road East closed on Tuesday morning as a forensic team sifted evidence.
Sabir Mann was arrested later that day and kept in custody. He has now been bailed to appear at Reading Magistrates Court on December 23.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Tracey Smyth, based at Slough police station, said: “We believe this to be an isolated incident and are not looking for anybody else in connection with it.
“From our enquiries so far we know there was a large amount of traffic at the time of the incident and a there is a chance that people will have seen what happened."
