The property market is enjoying a boom in some areas of Britain - but Slough is trailing way behind.
It seems you need to be Scottish to really benefit with homeowners in Edinburgh currently selling their properties twice as fast as the UK average according to new research.
It takes sellers in Edinburgh an average of just 45 days - 47 days in Glasgow - to close a deal compared to the UK average of 101 days.
Down south Oxford was ranked the slowest place for a sale in the UK, taking on average 152 days, followed by Slough where it typically takes 148 days.
A spokesman for Online Mortgage Advisor said Scottish homes sell faster because they are marketed better.
The spokesman said: "They are usually listed with more valuable information and are valued better, yielding faster selling rates in general."
