This impacts 87 children – but there is no evidence of cross-contamination between the year group bubbles and no other student or members of staff have reported testing positive or symptoms.
Coral Snowden, the principal, said in following Public Health England’s advice, those in the affected bubble will switch to home learning until the year group’s anticipated return to the classroom on Friday, September 25.
It was reported the pupil who tested positive is feeling well.

Mrs Snowden said: “Although it saddens me to have to close a year group bubble so soon after the children return to school, we have a duty to mitigate any known risk, however low, to our children and staff.
“We are in touch with the pupils daily through their online learning and parents are able to contact the school for further support.”
