The new Braywick Leisure Centre is well on the way to completion.
Following the disappointment earlier of this year of delays caused by the onset of the Corona19 lockdown, councillors on the Royal Borough's Communities Scrutiny Panel this Thursday will be hearing good news in a report prepared by head of communities David Scott.
It is expected to tell them that the main building work should be finished next week.

This is earlier than was last reported and training of technical staff who will operate the building has already begun.
The external works including the new hard courts and artificial turf pitch are almost complete with the external landscaping around these areas being snagged and finished to link with the main building programme.
Work has been ongoing since May 2018 after the council decided to close and demolish the ageing Magnet Leisure Centre in Maidenhead.
