CORONAVIRUS decisions and committee member appointments are some of the items to be discussed at Slough’s online full council meeting.
Slough Borough councillors are set to meet virtually – which will be streamed on the authority’s website – this Thursday night at a full council meeting since the government announced lockdown measures and social distancing.
A report will be brought to councillors of a timeline on what decisions were made by Slough Borough Council (SBC) from when lockdown was announced – forcing authorities across the UK to cancel meetings – on March 23 to the end of April.

These 'gold' and ‘silver’ decisions, as the report calls them, include the closing and reopening many sites and services across Slough such as the Chalvey Household Waste and Recycling Centre, how the council responded to the coronavirus outbreak in Slough, and how much of the Covid-19 emergency funds was given by government and where it was allocated.
Discussions on the agenda include the possible transfer of Stabmonk Park Chalvey Millennium Green to SBC from its previous caretakers, Chalvey Millennium Green Trust, as a corporate trustee of the land where the council would be responsible for the land and maintain it.
SBC councillors will also vote to adopt protocol for remote meetings to resume meetings and democratic decisions which could last until May 21 2021.
