Lockdown has closed traditional places of worship.
But it does not mean they cannot still be at the centre of the good work in the community.
The Faizan e Madinah mosque in Cheviot Road, Langley is working with members of the charity Dawateislami UK to ease peoples's burden during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Every day between 7pm and 8pm during Ramadan a small team of volunteers will be distributing free hot meals to people of all faiths outside the mosque - the police and nearby firefighters have already been included among the grateful customers. They can just drive through and are asked not get out of their cars while volunteers wearing face masks and gloves hand the food over.
Two other projects running simultaneously from the mosque include the handing out of free bread and milk to people in need Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 6pm and 7pm. While free food packages are also being delivered to peoples' doors - just call 07428 776482 to name a family or person who could use the service or to ask to use it.
Social distancing is being carefully maintained in all cases.
Waqas Choudhery from the Faizan e Madinah mosque said: "It is all done within Government social distancing guidelines."
