Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder as Thames Valley Police continues its investigation into a shooting in Slough.
Officers arrested the men from Slough today on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. They are aged 22 and 21 and are currently in police custody.
The arrests are in connection with an incident which happened at around 9.20pm on Thursday, March 26, when a 26-year-old man was shot at close range in Wentworth Avenue, at the Britwell Estate.
He needed hospital treatment but has since been discharged.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Andy Howard, of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: “Members of the public may have seen an increased police presence in parts of Slough today as we continue our investigation into this incident.
“The arrests today are a positive development in the investigation but I would still like to appeal to anyone with information relating to this incident to please get in touch.

An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with this investigation on 28 March. He has been released under investigation.
