BURNHAM have announced Paul Shone as their new manager after ex-boss Alan Paris left The Gore last night (Monday).
Paris took over at The Gore from former manager Mark Betts in October 2017 but has failed to improve the club's position in the Hellenic Premier Division.
Burnham suffered a 2-0 defeat away at Bracknell Town on Saturday leaving them bottom of the Premier Division, four points behind second bottom Highmoor Ibis and six behind Lydney Town in 17th position.
The club tweeted this morninng: "The Blues are delighted to welcome Paul to the club as first team manager.
"With a new sense of direction behind the scenes we look forward to supporting Paul in his task of keeping us up."
The club earlier tweeted: "Blues supporters and players waking up to news of manager Alan Paris departing the club with eight games remaining.
"A big thank you from all at the Gore for his efforts in a very difficult season and we wish Alan the very best for the future.
"We mean business, eight cup finals to keep us alive in the Hellenic Premier."
Shone, the former Flackwell Heath manager, will take charge of Burnham when they welcome Royal Wootton Bassett Town to The Gore this Saturday (3pm).
