A HEADTEACHER was drenched at a school fete when pupils had the chance to 'get their own back'.
Owen Lloyd, headteacher of Iver Heath junior school was placed in the stocks while children threw wet sponges at him at the school's summer fayre.
This year was a particularly successful year for the school's summer fayre as it was the first time it had been held on the field rather than in the car park.
Devan Sharma, parent and community governor, said: "A lot of people turned up to sponge the headteacher.
"A lot of kids were lining up to get their own back, he was drenched.
"It was great to see so much community spirit and passion, even with the odd shower."
The fun event raised more than £3,600 for the school's parent and teacher association (PTA).
As well as a chance to sponge the headteacher, there were food stalls and a tombola to keep people from getting hungry and give them the chance to be a winner.
There was also a bouncy castle, spinning tea cups, and more available for visitors to the fayre to have a go on.
Entertainment was provided by an African drumming group and the school's choir.
