AN IVER man has been charged with a slavery offence.
John Rooney, of Hollybush Lane, Iver, was charged yesterday with one count of knowingly holding another person in slavery/servitude as well as two counts of harassment/ putting people in fear of violence.
The charges are alleged to have happened in Iver between January 1 and May 15, 2013.
Rooney, 35, has also been charged with one count of making a threat to kill in Bellswood Lane, Iver, on February 15.
Rooney has been bailed to attend Aylesbury Crown Court at a date to be decided by the court.
