IN LOVING MEMORY OF BERNADINE JESSICA BERGAN Daughter of Sarah Richardson and Robert Warner. Born 19 May 1936, Sandy Point, St. Kitts; Passed away 27 November 2016, Oxford House Nursing Home, Slough. A devoted and loving mother to ten children; wonderful Nan to seventeen grand-children; and doting Great-Nan to six great-grand-children. Proud member of the Warner Clan, with family in the U.K., St. Kitts, U.S.A., New Zealand and Canada. Lived in Slough since 1960; resident at Burlington Avenue since 1964. Closely involved in the tight-knit Caribbean community in Chalvey. An active member of Zion Methodist Church in Ledgers Road, for over fifty years: a stalwart of the Ladies? Meeting; a devoted church Steward; and a tireless organiser of fetes and jumble-sales. Well-known for her incredible cooking and baking skills, catering for many events and making hundreds of cakes for weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. She was also a highly-skilled and creative dress-maker and an expert knitter. Loved and respected by her neighbours and her many friends. Grateful thanks to all the staff at Oxford House, in Stoke Road, for their splendid job in looking after her for almost two years.
