HUDSON Cllr Mr (Charles) Philip Town Mayor of Wokingham 1993-1995 Peacefully at West Oak Care Home, on 27th June, aged 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Cllr Mrs Elsie Hudson. Philip gave devoted public service to Wokingham and its residents for many years, particularly the youth of the borough, where he was extremely active in the scouting movement, as well as receiving a Long Service Award for his unstinting contribution to school governance, latterly at The Hawthorns. A Civic Funeral and Service of Thanksgiving will be held at 10.30am on Wednesday 17th July at St Catherine Bearwood, and afterwards at the Town Hall, Market Place, Wokingham, to which all who knew Philip are warmly invited.
