Sad loss of Lorna Ashby-Hastings nee Codling May 16, 1926 – May 5, 2014 Lorna moved to the Burnham area as a Land Girl during WW2. She married Reginald Ashby and they raised a happy family. After Reginald’s death she married Arthur Hastings. Throughout her life Lorna involved herself in the community. She was a cook at a Slough home for looked-after children. Latterly she moved to Cambridgeshire where she enjoyed keeping chickens and a beautiful garden. Lorna will be greatly missed by her children, Jane, Geoffrey and Heather, and their families.
