I'm looking for celebrationsAmes, Gary
Published on 25/06/2014
Gary Ames After 4 years of ill health, Amesy shocked us all by suddenly passing away on 11th June 2014, aged 60 at home in Farnham Common. He will be missed greatly by his son Ben, his family, his enormous circle of friends and all at Farnham Royal Cricket Club. Having grown up in Britwell, the much loved son of the late Doris, Amesy had a love of sport and his active participation as a player, coach and manager means that he is well known in the locality. Personal goodbyes can be said at The Co-op Funeral Care, 2 Chalvey Road West, Slough, SL1 2PN from 10.00 on Friday 28th June. Please call them in advance to arrange. The funeral entourage will be gathering at 13.15 at FRCC, Church Road, Farnham Royal to leave for Slough Crematorium for a service at 14.00 and will return to the cricket club afterwards. Please join us at any stage in the day if you wish to bid Amesy farewell and be part of the celebration of his life. Ben would prefer that the dress code is not that the traditional black and white of a funeral and advises that, as an alternative to flowers, donations to Sport Relief can be made either directly through the undertakers or in boxes that will be provided during the day.
