A major motorway has announced that it will be closed for the duration of the weekend.
As previously reported, the M4 will be closed for several periods of time over the next month as National Highways carry out repairs on the Burghfield Road Bridge, including replacing the existing paint system and refurbishing the bridge bearings.
This will close the westbound and eastbound motorway between Junction 11 Reading and Junction 12 at Theale.
Carriageway closures will be in effect in both directions overnight between May 1 and May 16.
Later in the month, a full weekend closure will be in place from 9pm on May 17 to 6am on May 20.

Now the M25 has announced it will be closing between junctions 9 and 10 from 9pm Friday, May 10 to 6am Monday, May 13.
This is to facilitate the £317milion Junction 10 improvement scheme.
National Highways made the unprecedented move of closing the motorway in March and made good progress by demolishing a bridge and installing a gantry.
Construction of a new bridge consisting of 68 beams, each weighing 16 tonnes, and another four beams weighing 40 tonnes, are to be installed as part of the work.
Drivers are being warned to "expect delays" and "only travel if necessary", as the new diversion routes around the closure are longer
Jonathan Wade, National Highways Senior Project Manager, said: “This is far from a repeat of the previous closure, as the alternative routes are longer and will be different for over-height vehicles and all other traffic.
“Drivers listened to our advice last time which reduced motorway traffic levels by over two-thirds and meant delays were limited.
“Our advice again is please only travel if absolutely necessary and make sure you give yourself extra time if you do choose to use the M25.”
The Junction 10 improvement scheme will also see an increase in the number of lanes to make journeys safer and a new junction layout to improve traffic flow.
This is the second of five full weekend closures of the M25 to take place with a further three due between July and the end of the year.
Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
