A man has tragically been confirmed dead after being discovered underneath a bridge on the M4.
Thames Valley Police rushed to the scene near to junction 6 on the motorway just after 8 am on Friday, December 1 following reports of a man on the ground under the bridge.
After officers located the body of a man at the scene, the M4 Junction 6 was closed, and traffic was diverted via the exit and slip roads at J6.
Detective Sergeant Philip Wilson, based at Slough police station said: “Very sadly the body of a man was located underneath the bridge of junction 6.
“As a result of this incident, there was a closure of the junction put in place, and I am conscious that this caused disruption in the area. Work is ongoing to ascertain and notify next of kin.
“We are investigating on behalf of the coroner but do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while we attended the scene.”
